Sherman D. Webb-Middlebrooks
Men's Health Project Manager
Sherman D. Webb-Middlebrooks, also known as "The Full-Time Black Man," is a lifelong Buffalonian, proud father, community advocate, media producer, and storyteller passionate about connecting people, amplifying community voices, and creating spaces for healing and growth.
As the Men's Mental Health Project Manager at the Buffalo Center for Health Equity, Sherman facilitates men's mental health programming, produces community-centered media, supports Igniting Hope Radio, and develops relationships that connect residents, organizations, and resources.
His greatest professional superpower is his ability to connect across communities, cultures, and generations. Whether behind a camera, on a microphone, facilitating a conversation, or simply being outside in the community, Sherman brings authenticity, humor, cultural awareness, and an unmistakable personality to his work.
"I help people find their voices, document their stories, and amplify those voices."
As founder of The W.I.N. Initiative, Sherman is particularly proud of his work supporting young people, mentorship, and personal development. His commitment to this work comes from his own experiences growing up in Buffalo and the people who invested in his potential.
A proud father and advocate for men's wellness, Sherman hopes to help redefine masculinity beyond simply being a protector or provider, creating opportunities for men to embrace vulnerability, connection, emotional wellness, and their full humanity.
Outside of work, Sherman enjoys fatherhood, gaming, comedy, storytelling, and spending time with his dogs. A devoted Buffalo Bills fan, he considers himself fortunate to have a career that allows him to show up as himself every day.
His philosophy is simple: "Find your passion, make it practical, and the profits will come."
Above all, Sherman hopes to see Buffalo become a city where future generations have greater opportunities, stronger support systems, and fewer barriers than those who came before them.
