The Healing Frequency: Music, Mental Health & The Art of Sound, an initiative of the Buffalo Center for Health Equity.

Food Pantry / food as medicine collaboration with the medical clinic at Harvest House provides individuals and families with fresh fruits and vegetables at medical appointments to ensure effective health outcomes on the Eastside of Buffalo.

BCHE plays a key role in supporting the University at Buffalo’s $3.6 million NIH grant aimed at addressing health inequities in Western New York.

The Igniting Hope Conference brings hundreds of community leaders, researchers and public officials to the Jacobs School of Medicine at the University at Buffalo for a day of information sharing on the BCHE’s work to address the social determinants of health.

RISE is an initiative sponsored by the NYS Department of Criminal Justice Services, enables the BCHE to provide 1:1 mentorship to four (4) grassroots organizations in the area of proper administration of State grant funding.

The Center was selected to work with the EPA to assist in monitoring the air quality of homes in the Humboldt Parkway neighborhood.

The mission of the African American Health Equity Task Force (AAHETF) is to create a central hub for health-related, community focused, and equity centered work in order to advance positive outcomes for often marginalized communities in Buffalo and Western New York.
