Mission:
The mission of the African American Health Equity Task Force (AAHETF) is to create a central hub for health-related, community focused, and equity centered work in order to advance positive outcomes for often marginalized communities in Buffalo and Western New York.
Vision:
The vision of AAHETF is to bring together community organizations, elected officials, government entities, labor leaders, faith leaders and more, to share events, collaborate on ideas, and offer mutual support in our individual and collective missions striving for health equity.
Who We Are (A History):
The AAHETF was established in 2014 out of concern for an increased incidence of colon cancer in the Black/African American community.
